He turned me into a nonbeliever

My faith began to waiver

Eventually no longer a dreamer

He made me believe that love was dead

Made me think it was all in my head

Made me realize there's no happy end

 

Then you came along

You took my heart and gave it wings and helped it be strong

And live and hope and breathe again

You came along and you showed me how to see the world for here and now

You gave me a reason to believe again

 

My whole world was losing color

Didn't know if there would be another to come along and rescue me

I could feel myself falling down, down

No longer standing on my own two feet

 

Then you came along

You took my heart and gave it wings and helped it be strong

And live and hope and breathe again

You came along and you showed me how to see the world for here and now

You gave me a reason to believe again
