If You Fall

If you've had enough with these lowly addictions

And you're tired of trying to quit

If you need a small voice in the distance

To draw you to sleep

Well I can't say that I will be there in heaven

When you arrive

And I can't say that I'm strong enough to catch you when you fall

But I'm here for the ride

And if you fall

I'll fall first to break it

And if you call

I'll lend you a listen

Maybe it's time you took a little rest

From the pains of life and the stress of death

And remember the things that your mother had said

And make plans to settle

And if you fall

I'll fall first to break it

And if you call

I'll lend you a listen

Life really isn't all that simple

It comes and it goes

And you can't really say what for

Some fly high on wings of eagles

But some still fall to the floor

And if you fall

I'll fall first to break it

And if you call

I'll lend you a listen
